I've been watching (& sometimes racing) all my life.
This kind of stuff has happened in many many races.
It was always left up to the drivers to work it out unless the 'grudge' continued into the next season, but sometimes if the 'accident was too mulishis'[stubborn as a mule Big Grin] (and he couldn't be reasoned with he was banned from "THAT" track. key word= (( melichous intent )) must be proven. And it your Dale Sr.*bless his heart* you just got a sheepish smile on you face and said, "I didn't mean to wreck him that bad!" I heard him say that more than once
BOTTOM LINE! look @ the exposure it gave to NASCAR-they were on ever network, cable, and satilite network, does that say anything?
It's still a "REDNECK"sport and always will be unlike any other compitition. If they don't wanta race they don't have too.
Back in the old days a few bloody noses and black eyes got the matter settled.& some became best friends

So, Carl gets probation for the next 3 races. Let's see, #1. Bristol short track lots of bumping and banging, #2 Martinsville, another short track with lots of bumping and banging and #3 Phoenix. Does that mean if he bumps or bangs he gets more than probation?

What exactly is the message that NASCAR is sending?

I'm confused.
