A little birdie helped me with this, but I believe that he played for Sandusky and in 1963 scored 329 points with a single game high of 32 points.

I had already graduated, but for some reason, I want to say Ken Biddinger in 1967, Gary Wilson in 1966 and I believe that John Boyd and Tim Cruser shared that in 1965.

1965 (my Senior Year) was Tim Cruser with 307 pts
1966 & 67 - his Cousin Jim Cruser with 336 and
352 respectively.

By the way Tim's Dad was Sandy and Jim's dad was Red.

Good job dinger, but answer this, of the same years 1965,66 &67 who had the single game high pts for Sandcreek ? Big Grin

1946-47 Greensburg Pirates

Greensburg was awarded the regional basketball tournament for 1947.

A season ticket for a sectional game was priced at $1.60 and the same price for the regional games. A ticket to the state finals was priced at $3.00.

The seating capacity of the Greensburg gym was 3200.

Unfortunately, for the second year, the Pirates lost to a county school in sectional play.

Who can tell me who they lost to??

We lost another of the Basketball players from the past.

Jerry Westhafer passed away on 9/17. Jerry scored 543 points in a 4 year period which was also a new record in the 1949-50 season.

His Pirate team tied Rushville for the SCC title with a 5-2 mark in conference play.

He went on to letter for the Florida State Seminoles in 1952,53,54.

Rest in Peace, Jerry.

Oh, wait a minute that was something else. My senior mind has wandered again.

Seriously, I remember that shot well even though I was not sure exactly how far it was.
